Easy Launch Characteristics and Increased Forgiveness
Our engineers have implemented split tungsten weighting into the Epic MAX Star Irons. This promotes easier launch characteristics while simultaneously improving forgiveness.
Enhanced Ball Speed from A.I. Designed Flash Face Cups
The unique Flash Face architecture in each iron creates high COR’s for fast ball speeds, and improved spin robustness for every club. This set is engineered for the distance you want to see, and better control in an ultra-lightweight, game-improvement offering.
Stunning Design & Meticulous Craftmanship
Epic MAX Star Irons take craftsmanship to the next level. Every surface is designed with precision and finished with a striking Black Plasma PVD that inspires confidence, reduces glare, and helps properly frame the club behind the ball.

Callaway Epic Max irons vs Epic Forged Star irons
Yesterday I picked up a demo 7i in the new Epic Max Star irons , I am currently playing the Epic Forged Star irons. I went to the golf course and played 18 holes only hitting the new 7i against my current 8i. The new 7i is 30* loft my current 8i is 29* so I thought it would be a fair comparison. The shaft in both models was the same , however the Winn grip in the newer model I liked better. Looks , it is a sharp looking club. Performance , after 18 holes playing 2 balls per club per hole I really didn’t notice any difference between the new 7i and my current 8i. I was hitting them the same distance , miss hits went about the same on both and height was the same. Conclusion , if you are looking for a set of irons for slower swing golfers and do not currently have a set , these are for you . If you have last years Epic Forged Star irons why change , with the weaker lofts you will loose yardage with no gain.

My new favorite iron
Many new sets are 6-P. I argued with the fitter.
I went online and added this FIVE. I’m thrilled I did.
Better than a hybrid. This is divine.
