Callaway Mavrik Combo Set
The MAVRIK Irons appeal to a wide range of players, with incredibly fast ball speeds from A.I and our Flash Face architecture for long, consistent distance. To provide complete performance to match these distance technologies, each iron is engineered to optimize launch and trajectory while promoting player preferred trajectories, spin rates, and land angles.
The MAVRIK Hybrids are characterized by a mid-sized head with a square toe callaway mavrik driver and justified scoring lines analogous to an iron face. The low CG, high MOI and speed-enhancing technologies combine to make MAVRIK easy to play. Long approaches, long par-threes and second shots on par-fives just became a lot more fun Callaway Mavrik Combo Set. Stock components include Project X Catalyst shaft in 55g, 65g, and 75g.

A MESSAGE FROM CALLAWAY:
Due to unprecedented demand across the golf industry, there is a shortage of shafts and grips. Though we will make every effort to install the inline “stock” shaft and grip, we may on occasion, need to substitute for an equivalent premium shaft/grip. This shaft would be in the same weight class and flex as the stock product, and the grip would be of similar weight and type garmin watch. Mavrik 5 – SW
First let me say that I am new to golf, I played for the first time on 5/20/2021.I had borrowed a set of clubs to play golf with friends. Obviously I was hooked from that point on. I had played 2 times with borrowed clubs prior to purchasing the Mavrik 5-9, PW, AW, GW, SW. Also the Mavrik Driver, 3 Wood and 3 Hybrid. Yes, I bought the whole Mavrik line. I figured it was Callaway so it had to be at least decent. I was not disappointed.
I first played with these after only 2 times ever playing golf. We stopped keeping score after 150, I’m pretty sure it doesn’t matter after 150. Haha After getting these, my 3rd time playing with my friends my score was 125 on a par 72. Well after 5 months I broke 100 for the first time. After 7 I broke 90. I am now playing just as well as my friends who have been playing for 20 plus years. I’m sure it’s not all the clubs but they sure are a large part of it. I bought the Mavrik clubs with the Graphite shafts & regular stiffness. They say they are for someone who is 5 – 15 handicap with my swing speed. That is where I am now and I can honestly say they feel amazing. It is now 3/10/22 and I am consistently shooting in the mid 80/s. My best score so far has been an 81 on a 7,200 yd course. 10 months and I’m actually shooting what these clubs were meant for. I bought the clubs for where I wanted to be, not for where I was. The only change I made was different grips. I went with the Golfpride MCC Plus 4 Jumbo grips because my hands are a bit arthritic. Best change I can recommend. The Callaway factory grips feel like they are made for a child. They are so small, It’s so hard to squeeze your hands around them if you are older. I can hold these grips lightly and they feel awesome.
I would definitely recommend these to someone looking to improve their game. They have obviously improved mine.

Great Clubs
I have played golf for more than 40 years currently still play to an 8 handicap. I play the Maverick Driver, 3 wood and 3-AW easist irons I have ever hit. Ball comes of the face like a rocket and ball flight is perfect. You will not fear hitting long irons into the greens the hold very well. Best golf club purchase of my life.

Better Than Expected
I upgraded to a Mavrik combo set from a set of Rogues. Set them up +1″ and 1 degree flat. Played them a couple times as the warm weather came to the east coast this week and I have to say they are much better than I expected they would be. I figured I’d get about a 5 yard improvement but they actually played a full club better than the Rogues. Even when I hit the ball slightly on the toe they reacted like I hit the center of the sweet spot. On top of that, they hit dead straight. I usually hit a slight fade but they were spot on my line all day, both days. The hybrids in particular we super easy to launch, and they the ball landed really soft. I really look forward to to playing these as the weather warms and the fairways firm up.

THE FEEL OF THIS CLUB IS UNDOUBTEDLY AMAZING
I was in the market for a new set of clubs so I have had my eye on the Callaway Mavrick irons. I finally got the chance to try them out and got fitted for a set. 4-A wedge, Graphite shafts, Regular FLex due to my age. The feel is crazy! I have the Callaway Fusion irons from a long ago so I was due for a new set. I have made the right choice to stay with Callaway. Get you a set! You will not be mistaken or let down for the choice of clubs they live up to their name.

Great Iron – Not As Forgiving As Hoped
I chose the standard Mavrik over the Max because I thought that they were a better suited compromise between game improvement and the feel of tour iron. What I found was they are not as forgiving as my 20 year old set of Cleveland Quad-Pro irons. I think I probably would have been happier with the Max or B21 irons.
